There are various offers at the local bars and clubs tonight to celebrate Independence Day, with cut-price drinks to...er...celebrate. Me, neither. :|

Hope you American types have had a good day, anyway. Fireworks are always a good thing.

It's been very hot here, too. We have fans, of course, and I close the shades against the sun. We have a bedroom airconditioner, but that's a last resort when we've had temps near 100F

The constant heat is terrible. We had a thunderstorm today, and all that did was make it more humid. We don't have air conditioning, much less mosquito nets so we can leave our windows open of a night. Couple that with traffic chaos because we were taken aback by it being hot, or something. (I bet you're missing England right now, huh?) ;)
