Talk about entente cordiale...

THANK YOU, FRANCE >:)

We are avenged! For once, cheating, sly digs and that tosser Ronaldo diving and diving again produced nothing but a big fat LOSE for Portugal. Ahahahahahaaaa!!!!12

*Ahem* Normal LJ activities will resume after the World Cup, I swear.

Definitely. I'm worried for them. My brothers are convinced they'll beat Italy, but I have my reservations. I'm in two mind, really... I really, really want Zidane to bow out on a high note, but I'd be happy for both France or Italy - I like both teams, to be honest. Portugal winning would kill me dead. Dead, I say!

I like both teams, too, and if France plays as they did today, Italy could get them.

Ah, but this was the final match I wanted to see.

(Though I was kinda rooting for Spain and their fancy footwork..well and the fact they've never gotten there, those cute boys. Tee hee)

LMAO!

I was in a bar in Dublin when the French-Spanish match was on. To the left, vocal and sexah Frenchies. To the right, vocal and sexah Spanish. A girl didn't know what to do!

(Wait. Yes, I did. I took pictures.)

Pictures...always the thing to do if you can't take them home with you.

Hehe.

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I tried, but they would have been confiscated at customs. Woe!

What I'd do to be at the final. Totally because I'm interested in the football and nothing else. Yeah. Hmm.

Hee - that was fun! :D

Phew - France made it in the end but they sure made it difficult for themselves. I noticed that Ronaldo was popular with the crowd! ;)

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Ronaldo was almost comical. Except for when the little git was doing theatrical dives every five seconds.

France really need to buck themselves up to meet Italy, but maybe they were just taking it easy because they knew they had it after Zindane's goal. Or they're just drunk. Whichever. ;)

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I knew there was a reason I liked them so much!

(Is it just me, or is it really funny the way Barthez clings to the ball like a scared child? Aww!)

[identity profile] sroit.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I dunno. I'm often watching Zizou.

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Who doesn't? ;)

(I loved that he hugged Figo at the end. What a sportsman.)

[identity profile] ladydaydream.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I like the way they swapped really sweaty shirts at the end. Now that's sportsmanship!

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Eww, yeah!

[identity profile] ladydaydream.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
My favourite Ronaldo dive (I was giving them marks out of ten for inventiveness) was the pirouette he attempted when he tried to claim a penalty! :D

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
LMAO! I should have done that! Ahahhaa!

My heart was in my throat most of the time, but it's funny to look back on the pics now. Hmm... do you think the tabloids will have pics of Ronaldo crying tomorrow? >:)

[identity profile] ladydaydream.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
They're bound to have! >:)

[identity profile] fioredelmale.livejournal.com 2006-07-06 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
No way, we must win. We need revenge after they kicked our asses in 98 World Cup and 2000 European Championship. We have to. Otherwise we won't be able to go to France without being mocked mercilessly by our "cousins". Not that they aren't doing it already ;) Anyway, it's the first time in my life I see Italy play well, and I think we have a chance.

FORZA ITALIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2006-07-06 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
LMAO! I forgot about '98 and 2000... oops. You know, I really, really think Italy have the edge at the moment, but who knows what will happen? I promise to support Italy just as much for you, though. ;)
