(no subject)

I popped along to La Boqueria this morning to get my pick of the market's unrivalled wild mushroom selection. I thought I might get some duck eggs, too.

I'm back several hours later with three dressy tops and a tartan scarf for my upcoming business trip to Edinburgh, make-up and a secondhand books haul of Maria McCann's As Meat Loves Salt, War and Peace and The Catalans by Patrick O'Brian. Thriftiness: I need to learn it. *Snuggles materialism*

I know what you mean. I leave the house for three things and come back loaded down with bags like its Christmastime. I'm with you on snuggling materalism.

Actually, I do my best to be thrifty without being stingy the majority of the time so when I do have those moments, I feel little guilt about them. At least you'll get great use out of all your purchases.

Yeah, true. And I *did* need some nice clothes for the trip, so... yay?

Sometimes a girl just needs some retail therapy, don't you think?

OMG, yes. Retail therapy has saved many lives on many days, mine included. Viva la shopping!
