Actor slits his own throat on stage after prop knife is switched.

WHAT. Surely it, you know, hurt him as he was doing it? OMFG the pain! Surely you can't slit your own throat so quickly that you don't feel anything? How much pressure was he applying? Most gruesome theatre moment of 2008, right? WAT.

O_o

Must have been one of those fast motions "I die!" slash!

But for f's sake, why was it a REAL BLADE!?

Jesus, how did he do something so dumb? Actually throat slashing is like a horror for me so I could even have done it for play but I would have felt something *shudders*

OH.MY.GOD!

At least he survived? :s

So you know how you get that paper cut and you stare at your finger KNOWING it's gonna hurt like hell in about 30 seconds or so? It takes time for the brain to register pain. GUHHHHHHHHHHH!

Whoa! That's crazy! I agree it must have been an instantaneous thing.

Haha. And the price tag was still on the knife! It would be more tragic had he bled out on the stage floor. This way it's sort of like one of those anecdotes about the perils of acting! Iz so hardz.

:D :D

This reminds me of when Brandon Lee was shot and killed on the set of The Crow by a prop gun. But at least he didn't do it himself.

I'd say that actor was just a bit too much into Method to continue cutting like that.
