When secretarying I used to hear the phones at night too, but probably more because I hated answering them because I didn't know anything, and couldn't answer the most basic of queries about the firm and its services. I could complain about the boringness of my UK proofreading job, but it saved my ass and gave me funds to travel, so, no. :D
