The temperature in Barcelona was approaching 40c on Friday, which shouldn't be all that bad for a Mediterranean city with ample air conditioning right next to the sea, but what do you know? It's humid, sweaty hell.

At the moment, I am in Cork! It is all Irish and awesome. I am working from my B&B room (we can't travel in luxury all the time, darlings), but shall have to go down to breakfast soon, for I can smell Irish breakfasty goodness.

I really like it here - it's all green and lovely and cold. I even had to wear a coat yesterday! Exciting times. The people are also really nice, really funny. I got chatted up in the pub last night, even though there were inevitable commiserations on my being English.

Sorry, I meant to say more, but... the smell of that bacon, you know...

Oh, I hope you had the FULL Irish breakfast complete with white pudding and soda bread. You won't need to eat anything until evening. Cork is lovely: my sister-in-law comes from there.

Cork City is a lovely place---and OMG, an Irish breakfast! After several days of bacon and sausages or puddings and those lovely grilled tomatoes you have to stop lest you swell to bursting from all the salt. Still...YUM.

Nice to be someplace cooler when where you live is a sweaty hell. I've never been to Ireland but its definitely on my list of places to visit.

Hee, I did, although I balked at white pudding! (I wanted it in principle, but when it came to eating it, I couldn't.) The soda bread was awesome, though.

One of my very best friends in BCN is from Cork, so it was lovely to hear that lilting, friendly accent all around me. :D

Ooh, yes! I have missed Irish/Anglo breakfasts so much! >:D

I am very full up, now. I think I'll be okay until my 9pm flight to England.

Ireland sounds lovely! It's on my list of places I must go sometime. I'd be out eyeing the horses... Have a good trip :)
