Update-me-do
To anyone wondering whether a black hole had swallowed me up-- a quick update. Very quick. :p
I've started a fantabulous new job that involves all those administration things, but this time at a frankly fantastic pay rate. Huzz. Ah. A certain university which has an excellent History department has also contacted me regarding an application when I didn't think I stood the proverbial snowball's chance as well... it's typical: you wait ages for someone to employ you, and then two great things come along at once.
However, as I really do like being employed in a nice company *strokes company computer* I'm also concentrating on work and can't really get online except for brief periods at lunch (and the internet is currently competing with the local museum). This should all be resolved soon, because I frankly rock and stuff.

kristoferllama and I are looking forward to wandering the banks of the Seine, grimacing at plates of frogs' legs and generally pretending we speak better French than we do, so yes... my beloved LJ has to take a back seat for a wee while.

There are other things. Like the puppy got bigger! And bitier! But that can wait for now, because I have sushi...

You have to tell me when you're next in Paris-- it's only like £12.99 to get over there from my airport, which is a frankly silly price to pay to hang out with you and eat that smelly cheese and get drunk on cheap wine.

Do you think your loverly country would accept a small beagle? He's had all his shots and he's quite lovable. Yes? Good, I'll be there in ... oh, say, 15 hours?!
(£12.99?! OMG!! I spent the equivalent of £850 to go for ten days. £12.99?! I could go there EVERY SINGLE HOLIDAY!! EVERY SINGLE ONE!! I bet I would actually be able to string together a coherent sentence, in french no less.)
