Dude! Will somebody please reassure me that I'm not the only person in the world who didn't realise that Nicolas Flamel of Philosopher Stoneness actually existed?

If not, do you lose respect for me in learning that I was reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame and was all, "yeah! Victor has a cool character called Flamel as...oh."

And if that doesn't make you lose respect for me, I bet that if I told you being unable to find the house where he was supposed to have lived on my damned cheapo Paris map actually ruined my day, you're now thinking of splattering me with rotten fruit.

But yeah. Flamel. Cool.

In other map stuff, why the feck am I never able to find out where Les Innocents stood? Ach, well. Now for some wine.

That's it? Dude! I went there...and didn't realise. Am so embarrassed.

Flamel was the supposed owner of the Philosopher's Stone, referenced in Harry Potter.

In other news, I nearly got into a fight with a hella rude Spanish woman at Versailles for a pencil for you. You may now worship me. :-D

I didn't know, but when reading "Da Vinci" code I was all "Yeah sure, Sir Issac Newton. Whatever. And what's all this crap about gravity?"

Argh! Chris has read The Da Vinci Code, and nearly pulled my arm off when we were in the Louvre so he could show me a painting mentioned in it.

There was a masseeeve group of Americans around it discussing the Da Vinci code, too. I thought of you and sneered at them in your honour.

LOL!

Not because they were American, but because of that book.

But! Each damned nationality became quite annoying in Paris...might rant about that.

Did you that Kay is being swayed by the evils of the book? She's buying a guide to it and everything...Dreadful girl.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I haven't read it yet!

Well they DID get Chuckie to play him for the Bad Movie. But D&D are a bit more talented than that.

Ooh, I only just discovered the real Flamel too! It was in one of my paranormal books in a chapter about alchemy and the like, and I got all excited and fangirly. "He's real! He's real!" etc...

See, Flamel-ness is why I totally don't understand the 'Americanisation' to 'Sorcerer's Stone'. There has never ever been a 'sorcerer's stone'. It's a real object, for all intents and purposes, and it's the philosopher's one, not the sorcerer's. Publishers suck. They let all kinds of crap go by these days?????

I know! It's the suckiest thing ever! I want to know if American translations of The Hunchback of Notre Dame change it to Sorcerer's Stone, too. Stoopid.

I think the book is good?????
