Decided to brave the evils of the hospital cafeteria today. Was pleasantly surprised to see more than scouse or chips 'n' beans on the menu, but as I was queueing up for lunch, I saw this notice stuck on the door to the toilets:

Due to untoward incidents occurring in this area, these toilets will be locked from 8pm.

Oo-er, missus.

The mind boggles. No, really. It does.

Once I wrote out a notice on a bit of Basildon Bond, and stuck it up in the loos of a hospital ward. I'd got the slogan from an Adrian Plass book (I heart Christian satire):

The NHS Motto:
You may be sick in our hands with confidence.

I think Sister _____ must have taken it down, but nobody ever said anything. Still, it was a small blow for... something-or-other. :p
