Friday! Hurrah!

I'm feeling really good today-- my colleague and I agreed to come in in our jeans today because nobody else is really in. Despite trepidation, my jeans fit (with no overspill! Double huzzah!)

I also did some lazy applications for travel-based firms the other day, after talking to [livejournal.com profile] saffronlie about that familiar career fatigue creeping up. I've received interested replies from a couple of companies, who said my application has passed the first part and they want me to attend recruitment days. In Manchester.

Manchester[pronoun]

1. Exciting Northern city
2. Shopping
3. Wine bars
4. Shopping

Good stuff. >:)

My poor Jack is still coping with having a lampshade welded to him. He's become institutionalised now, so that whenever we take the collar off him, he jumps up and demands to have it put back on. Conversely, he is also doing his utmost to destroy it-- hence the bite marks:

lampshade o'd00m and alsatian o'more d00m

Anyway, great stuff. He only has to deal with it for another couple of days, and it's fair to say all involved will be relieved. And less bruised.

Shiny Happy People is playing on the radio. Today feels so good, apocalypse or something must be around the corner to even things out.

my mum and dad's dog had one on once it was so funny. I know you should not laugh but I could not help it. She was a puppy at the time and she played with it all the time.

Today feels so good, apocalypse or something must be around the corner to even things out. Leave it to me to pick that out to quote. Just sounded like me is all.

Jack is cute. Good luck on getting a Manchester job (cities are fun), YAY on the fitting jeans AND have a nice weekend. :D

OH! I heard something about a (damn that I can't remember now) different kind of low-carb diet thing yesterday & I thought of you. Hmmm. I'll remember eventually.

I do not understand the necessity of those stupid collars. No vet I have ever used has ever used them and there has never been a problem.
