It Just WON'T Stop
I don't know. I've had Do You Want To, the new single by Franz Ferdinand, on my computer for less than two weeks. And in that time, I must have played it at least two hundred times. And most of those times? Will have been in the last couple of days. The song is just so damned addictive-- its chorus burrows into my brain and demands to be repeated every few seconds. I wake up, and Alex Kapranos' voice echoes around the room. Singing, not urging me to go out and stab people. I go to work, and I want to profess that I love my friends, they're all so arty. I come home, and I have to put it on loud, because it's been running rampant through my thoughts all day.
And I keep thinking that I'm going to tire of it. I should listen to something else. I should just ignore it and hope it goes away, damn its sarcastic lyrics and thumping beat. And then it comes on Top of the Pops or Radio 1 and the whole sordid process starts off again.

Bouncy. Yes. That's my review upon my first listen. Apparently I am so lucky says FF. Will report after 199 more times. ;)
