All those men sing You´ll Never Walk Alone

I´m still no great Liverpool fan, but yaay for beating The Dark Menace, Chelsea. Everyone I talked to at work - Spanish, German, British, Irish - isn´t too bothered about who wins the Champions League as long as it doesn´t begin with C and end in helsea. Well, good, good.

Mourinho, if you need somewhere to lay your sexy head, I have a shoulder only too willing...

I´m kind of glad I stayed home to watch the match rather than brave the Irish pubs. 5 Euros for a friggin´ pint! A bottle of passable wine is 98 cents down at the supermarket. Er... this may be a bad thing.

As I remember it, Barcelona aren't too keen on Chelsea either.

Good for Barcelona.

My God, don´t even mention Chelsea to Catalan people. I keep getting into heated discussions about it. I´m all, "I AGREE with you! Chelsea are evil!" but it apparently won´t do until I denounce Mourinho as the devil.

Or draw a Hitler moustache on him, either will do.

So... if there's a five Euro note, you could spend that ENTIRE note on just one drink?! That's frightening... and UK prices for drinks alarm me enough already!

I know, right! Even in terms of UK money, that´s hella expensive for a pint. It´s because there are so, so many tourists that stay for only a couple of days and have money to burn, so they´ll pay through the nose for drinks.

Unfortunately for expats, it means choosing between the comfort of a Full Irish Breakfast or a nice pie and paying through the nose, or defecting to a local Spanish bar not playing the match. Bah.

That said, there´s supposedly a cheap, good Irish bar around here... it´s just that I´ve got lost *three* times whilst searching for it.

Also, Chris and I were lured into a bar in Paris last year (live band were playing) and were stung for 7.50 Euros for a draught beer. We still habitually shout "Seven and a half Euros!" when expressing surprise about something now. ;)
