Manchester!

So, the weekend ruled. Seriously, it did.

I headed into Manchester Victoria with evil friend kristoferllama on Saturday, and we had a pretty good time of it.

(Am queen of understatement.)

Kristoferllama and I went to this pub...



...Sinclair's Oyster Bar, which is really, really old and stuff, with tiny rooms that finally made me feel tall.

We were also in Selfridge's, when we noticed that they had a Yo! Sushi outlet downstairs. This is the Coolest Dining Experience Ever (okay, perhaps after dinner with George Clooney) and we thought it was only available in London, so we were psyched to find one in Manchester.

The concept of Yo! Sushi is this: everyone sits in a semi-circle, and in the middle of it, sushi chefs knock up various dishes. They place the bowls onto a little conveyor belt that goes around the table, and the customer simply picks whichever dish they feel like. Hence, we tried everything from nigri to maki to soup to steaming rice and noodles... it was a great experience, and we're planning on going back there for my birthday.

Hmm. I hope kiraelf and hobbitfanatic like sushi.
