So like I don't wound easily. Physically, I mean. Actually, mentally, too -- "Hardened in heart anew" -- but you know what I really really really hate?

Being bitten by Alsatians. I mean, ouch. I have never known my skin to scar after the worst fight with Evil Sister or Random Cat Attack, but Jack is living up to his Ripper name by...um...ripping.

I've tried many things, from squirting water in his face when he nips to plunging my hand down his throat if he savages my fingers, but woe and behold, he still bites.

However, pup is learning some neat stuff. For instance, walking him and Amy through the fields the other day, my heart quailed when he noticed the horses at the same time as me and was off yipping and snarling (no, dear reader-- am not wild animal uncontrolling fool-- they were behind a big fence) and generally being a nuisance.

Half a minute later, he's watching in fascination as the horses ignore him completely and come over to be stroked. He's stopped stamping on the cat and doesn't eat snails anymore.

However, I don't want to completely quell Jack's evil tendencies. There is a big fat labrador owned by a man who lets it out all the time. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. you walk past his house, it comes out and charges, chasing whichever unfortunate child or hopeless Amy is in the way and chasing them towards the road.

Amy cowered as it again attacked her the other day, only for the pup to place himself between the two and bark at the other dog, who, stunned, fled. Bless his little bitey face.
