Au revoir les enfants (des tenebres)

So [livejournal.com profile] carryondancing is no more. It went out with a bang pop and it was epic.

It's been an intense weekend, because the players are split across four time zones and so we had to try and carefully plan each popping. It didn't always go as we wanted it, or we changed some things at the last moment due to inspired 3am group convos, but it was worth it. The RPG finally had a fitting end. I really hope the readers enjoy it. Today, I feel all deflated and sad that it's ended, however necessary it was. Keep safe, babycakes.

~

I had a really nice day out in Liverpool with fine wench [livejournal.com profile] mothergoddamn on Saturday. I treated myself to this gorgeous green tea latte at Brew and finally experienced Chinese food in little cartons (a la The Lost Boys). This has been a nerdish dream of mine for ages - I've only ever had it in foil trays in the UK. The best part was that she's also a Lost Boys fan, so we were happy with our cartons of maggots and worms (obvs this will only make sense if you've seen the film). Thankfully, nobody was sitting too near us. :p

We also saw Toy Story 3, which is competing with Carry on Dancing to Break My Heart. Again, it was a fitting end to the series, but I couldn't take all those shocks. I spent half of the film gasping in horror. The other half was laughing stupidly. Amazing film. It didn't disappoint.

Heehee! So glad you liked it. And thank you very much for the detailed comment you left in the other entry - we were all so happy with it.

Let's continue Embracing It, in his spirit, for a long time to come.

I hope that CoD as an LJ is remaining as it is. I'm going to read the Archive :D I think I started reading in 2004 so I'll start again and have some lols!

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2010-08-10 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, we've closed posting to all characters, but the journal will remain as an archive. We don't control Moon -- that's owned by [livejournal.com profile] silverthoughts, but as long as she's happy to have it open, we are. :)

I must confess I especially laughed at Egypt_bitch's most undignified popping ! :D

and Poor Louis passing away before he could confess "I ... burnt your spandex shorts while ironing them, Lestat !" how sad !

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2010-08-10 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, thanks. I can't remember who came up with that idea, but it seemed so fitting given how easily she was taken out in QotD. ;)

Louis! Perhaps it was best that he was popped before he confessed to this crime - Lestat really loved those shorts!
