Le Weekend

Well, that was nice. I decided to make Sunday an All About Me day, which basically meant lazing about all day, attempting stupid exercise and pampering. The standards of laziness would put Garfield to shame—I got up at 8am to let the dogs out, right? Then I promptly went back to bed. Woke up at noon and realised I wanted to tape Futurama, so I went downstairs, put a tape in… and then had an argument with my mum.

Deciding that arguments are too much of an effort, I went back to bed again, finally awaking at half past three, when the BLACK had descended, which is ironic, really, because if my mum had found me still sleeping that would have meant a bigger argument. Heh.

I then caught an adaptation of Oliver Twist on television—an excellent, sumptuous version—but unfortunately I spent most of it thinking, “Mrs. Weasley!!!1!” and “OMG Elizabeth Swann!!1!” and “Dude! Claudia’s piano teacher, also notable for playing Trigger in Only Fools and Horses!1!”

Then, effort as it was, I reached the metre or so from my bed to the television and turned over to catch Fungus the Bogeyman, followed by a dessert of The Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle and Little Britain. Television this good should be illegal.

A full moon was out last night, so it was Victorian Bathroom o’ D00m time; candles, lavender, honey bath milk and eucalyptus Radox with a seaweed face mask for those pesky pores. The night was silent and beautiful—I opened the bathroom window and gazed at the moon, the stars and the Scary Pine Tree in our garden. Such a feeling of peace and happiness pervaded me.

I believe that it was at this point that a muddy, excited Jack burst in. >:
