Well, that was nice. I decided to make Sunday an All About Me day, which basically meant lazing about all day, attempting stupid exercise and pampering. The standards of laziness would put Garfield to shame—I got up at 8am to let the dogs out, right? Then I promptly went back to bed. Woke up at noon and realised I wanted to tape Futurama, so I went downstairs, put a tape in… and then had an argument with my mum.

Deciding that arguments are too much of an effort, I went back to bed again, finally awaking at half past three, when the BLACK had descended, which is ironic, really, because if my mum had found me still sleeping that would have meant a bigger argument. Heh.

I then caught an adaptation of Oliver Twist on television—an excellent, sumptuous version—but unfortunately I spent most of it thinking, “Mrs. Weasley!!!1!” and “OMG Elizabeth Swann!!1!” and “Dude! Claudia’s piano teacher, also notable for playing Trigger in Only Fools and Horses!1!”

Then, effort as it was, I reached the metre or so from my bed to the television and turned over to catch Fungus the Bogeyman, followed by a dessert of The Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle and Little Britain. Television this good should be illegal.

A full moon was out last night, so it was Victorian Bathroom o’ D00m time; candles, lavender, honey bath milk and eucalyptus Radox with a seaweed face mask for those pesky pores. The night was silent and beautiful—I opened the bathroom window and gazed at the moon, the stars and the Scary Pine Tree in our garden. Such a feeling of peace and happiness pervaded me.

I believe that it was at this point that a muddy, excited Jack burst in. >:

Oliver Twist is so much more exciting when there are songs.

True...

Mrs. Weasley beat her husband up when he was all, "you make my supper now!"

Mrs Weasley got her kit off in Calendar Girls.

Ah hum. I don't think I'll be watching that film, then. :p

Oh! And there was a dandy in it! A handsome dandy in period clothing. Nyah.

Una Alconbury also got her kit off, and the woman from One Foot in the Grave, and... basically every middle-aged British actress except for Judi Dench who's too much of a lady.

Dandies are kind of cool! Except when they're Daniel Day-Lewis in A Room With a View. Mael gets naked in that one, though.

The woman from One Foot in the Grave was in it, too! I just didn't mention her before. She played Mrs. Bewin. :p

Mael gets naked in it? I shall have to watch it! Day-Lewis always looks dirty, but dandies, man... they're just the best. Did Kt tell you about when we stalked those dandies in Edinburgh?

You're just making that up!

It's rather gratuitous nakedness. Simon Callow also gets naked, so don't hurry. And Daniel D-L looks absolutely pristine. No, no tales of dandies from the K-Monster. :(

I am so not making it up. :p I didn't mention her simply because I didn't think my international readers would know who she was. And I forgot. :p

Day-Lewis is afraid of soap.

Okay, so Kt and I were in Edinburgh in August, right? And it was the Fringe festival, right? And we're walking down, staring in awe at the giant penis (no lie) and the weird people, when Kt screams, "DANDIES!"

The hell?

So I follow her gaze, and lo and behold, there are a couple of young men dressed as dandies sauntering along the street. One dandy speaks French to me. I die inside, so I speak French back. He's all, "Je ne comprends pas... je suis francais" and Kt and I are all, *raised eyebrows*

Then we followed them some more and were roped into watching a French theatre adaptation in the hope of seeing the handsome dandy. Unfortunately, he was only on stage for two minutes. In a diguise. Pah!

Haha. Your international audience. Which is me, and some Americans, and I'm practically English anyway. :p Ssshh, I'm generalising here.

He's very clean in A Room With a View. Julian Sands and Simon Callow and that hot Freddy are the ones bathing in a woodland pond and running about in the dirt.

That's a very exciting story!

Hey... Diggy's from Puerto Rico! >:

Which is counted as America.

You're being facetious about my dandies, aren't you? :(

I think your dandies were being facetious to you, with the fake Frenchness and stuff.

They were! :-D

They were all, "haha! We're so smart and sexy!"

And we were all, "yeah, you're sexy, but we're smart, too!"

So they were facetious. We were nuts. :D

Ha! It's all relative. You'd never, ever see a dandy in Australia.
