The Age of Aquarius -- prepare to be confused and indecisive!

GERMANY or FRANCE. This is the problem, readers. Or maybe both! But then, that will mean less Switzerland.

See, Basel, where I'm going on Friday, is located in the upper north of Switzerland, right in the "tri-area", where France, Germany and Switzerland are all within an hour's train ride of each other.

How can you pass up the opportunity to "do" three countries in a matter of a day? I'm dying to see Alsace, being that it is brimming with history, funky French/German dialect and is the spiritual home of Jack.

Munster, I know nothing about. But hey, it's close to the Black Forest! W00t! And each trip would only cost about five Euros by SNCF train. Bargain! It's time that is the issue, so if push comes to shove, I'll choose France. Because I'm pretentious like that.

Ho hum. Sunday. Is light on news, like.

I'd also like to wish the happiest of birthdays to two excellent friends, the first being [livejournal.com profile] avariecaita, my talented, funny and loveleh Macbeth afficiando, and also to the ever-lovely Debs, who doesn't have a LJ but will hopefully catch this message.

Hope you both have a great day!

Pictures, Becks, pictures! Have a good time!

Oh, definitely! I can't wait to see Alsace. May actually get me writing again, that lovely place. ;)

You're right. Confused, indecisive and totally geographically-challenged. However, did you know that you can stand in Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico at the same time?

But, have a good time. I'll pine away for you. ;)

Now I want to go to Colorado just to do that. Also, to stalk some people. Ha!

No, don't pine for me! (Argentina) ... I want you alive so that I can, like, tell you all about it. Am going to beat the snowman for sheer internationalness!

Dude, have just copied you that CD and added four tracks. Including one that unveils the mystery of my icon...ohh excited?

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
YES I AM!

Hurrah! In your face, fecking Kazaa!

FRANCE! FRANCE! FRANCE!

What have the Swiss every done, but kept neutral *eg*

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 10:03 am (UTC)(link)
I know! The trip just got a whole lot more exciting. France, with its bloodshed and its crepes and its shouty, shouty people and its funky revolutions. So much more exciting than cuckoo clocks. >:)

Alsace it is! Twenty minutes on the train, my friend-- and, as I gleefully told you, five Euros. Oh, yes.

[identity profile] avariecaita.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
Five Euros! (I secretly loathe you with every fiber of my being.) Have a fabulous trip! (I hope you forget all your French.) Don't forget to send postcards! (And you get thrown into whatever the new Bastille is.) Eat mousse, it's good! (And some smelly frenchman, who's neither blonde nor royalty, tries to have relationship with you from the cell nextdoor.)

*mwahahahahaha* When are you leaving again? Lucky wench!

ROFL!

Tu es un cauchemar, tu sais. >:p

I leave on the morning of my birthday, about 11, getting to Switzerland for 2pm Swiss time. THEN I'm going to look around and maybe see the Rhine. Then I shall get ready into my Super Birthday Clothes and hit the town for dinner, drinks and, hell, Swiss things.

On Saturday, we're getting up early, 'cos France, baby!

Jalousie. C'est laid-- but it's funny. >:)

[identity profile] avariecaita.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
J'ai des cauchemars ... mostly about sharks. And redips. And once I had that one about Paris and the search for the Louis Vitton purse!

Super Birthday Clothes

Why bother? Go in your SUPER BIRTHDAY SUIT! ;)

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 10:46 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, I can't do me a Mekare, not even in Switzerland.

(Might get away with it in Sweden.)

I have cauchemars about redips, too. And elephants. And I had one about a bird, but that was just silly.

[identity profile] avariecaita.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
They have a book at work called "The Pop-up Phobias" and OMG!! It has this giant redips that ... pops up. I almost dropped the book. The rest of the phobias are silly. Hmm, except the one with the clowns. Those dastards aren't right!

Mon amie's mom is terrified of birds. Seriously, we can't let her watch HP:POA. She's missing such a good movie, too!

I think I'm going to go pass out now. It's almost 4am. If I don't see you before -- HAVE AN AWESOME BIRTHDAY!!
