Dahn-da-dahn-da-dahn-dah-dahn--woo-oooo...
ZOMG I love Doctor Who!
What a brilliant episode.
We learned (some) of the truth about Bad Wolf, Ecclestone was great and Captain Jack just stole the episode.
I have to admit something annoying. At first, I didn't much care for Captain Jack. I had a suspicion that he was put in to appeal to the international audience, and hell... maybe he is. But he's so damned entertaining! I loved the joke with the gun, the quirky one-liners, the outfits and...er... ah, the slash overtones in a man who flirts with everything. He'd probably flirt with that robotic Anne Robinson if he could.
Nothing could beat the thrill of the return of the daleks, though. The dialogue between the doctor and the daleks was hilarious, and half a million daleks screaming "EXTERMINATE" as the ships rock with the force of their vitriol was just great. I think next week's episode is going to be brilliant.
I'm really going to miss Ecclestone in this role-- I think he's really grown into it, and added a lot of shades to the Doctor Who character. I'm happy and pleased that an actor as talented as David Tennant is taking over the role, but still. Waah.
I hope Captain Jack doesn't turn out to be Bad Wolf, or dalek fodder. I'd love him to be around in the next series, but I have a horrible suspicion that he won't be. Still, can't wait for next week!
Now I have to go and get ready for Mary's birthday party. Feh-- pass the wine!

I read on a Doctor Who community that there is speculation they've changed the ending to next week's show to make way for David Tennant. Something tells me the Doctor's fight with the daleks is going to be a little more fatalistic than we had all thought...
Jack community!
