What I Did Today

Lovely Friendslist, be honest. These answers can be anonymous and, after discussion with colleagues and family today, I have to know the answer to this.

You see a cat. The cat looks particularly snooty and disdainful, in the way cats are wont to act. The cat is sitting on a relatively low fence. If, say, the cat were pushed, nothing would be hurt except its dignity. You're walking past it on a narrow, say-- typically English-- street. Poll time!

[Poll #574248]

I'm not going to say-- yet -- which option most people, including myself went for. I bet you can guess, though.*

*It was my own cat**

** Someone else would have done it, anyway. I was saving it from the trauma***

*** I fed it treats afterwards, because I felt mean

I'd probably have ignored the cat and scrawled puerile messages on the wall.

[identity profile] wig-maker.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Or on the cat.

[identity profile] saffronlie.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
You should never dignify a cat by acknowledging their presence in any way. If we all ignore cats, maybe they'll go away.

Piwi's cat is really fat. It's probably pregnant. The slut.

Can't...stop...laughing!

You bleedin' nutter! :D

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
There's no point in calling a cat a lady's unmentionable. They already have that name, woe. :(

[identity profile] mothergoddamn.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
The only cat I wouldn't back my car over is Bagpuss. Oh, how I love Bagpuss. And reversing over cats.

Mrs Slocombe agrees.

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I want that lipstick! And that hair dye! Pink hair owns. On sexy people, not militant cu... cumin-lovers.

[identity profile] jaffacakequeen.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Beckster! i dont believe you would!!!! terrible! evil woman

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, Chud deserves it for dragging that half-dead rabbit in the other week and traumatising me for life. Evil bloody thing!

(I gave her a cuddle afterwards, though. She looked at me with those big vacant green eyes, so I couldn't resist...)

[identity profile] tsaress.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
meanie

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
You would say that, because Chud liked you better and went to you all night. Traitor kitty!

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/wisteria__/ 2005-09-21 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
Just to let ya know that I took your poll and yes I am in the 7% non-cat lover and pushed it off the wall!

btw...I am opening a new combination VC rpg and fan fic forum and will be including your work. I hope that is okay.

It's not offically open yet. I'll keep you posted!

[identity profile] fadedacolyte.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a cat lover, but I chose to push it off the wall...

Mean streaks, what gives?

[identity profile] zhonghua2000.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
I love when icons fit don't you? Anyway, oddly enough for the cat lover I am I chose "ignore it" because I hesitate to touch animals that I don't know because of the dreaded RABIES!!! thing that hit here a few years back. I'm so mean. :(

However, I did laugh the other night when 'Caoillin' fell off of the bed and no one pushed her so I guess that redeems me in all of this, huh? ;)

[identity profile] tsaress.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
so did not. Kitties rock.

[identity profile] saffronlie.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
You're obsessed with pussy. YES, in every obvious sense.

[identity profile] saffronlie.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 10:13 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, right, *I'm* the crazy one. I don't push animals off walls.

[identity profile] verastar99.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
eh...you're safer ignoring it. that disdainful thing will surely just scratch the living out of you. generally, if they want any part of you, they'll just roll over on their backs in that shameless cat way..

knew you would push it...heartless vile thing...lol

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
It's only a matter of time.

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
When you throw stones at them, yes.

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 02:27 pm (UTC)(link)
It's okay simply because you agree with cat-pushing. ;)

No problem about the forum/rpg stuff. Let me know as when--sounds interesting.

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 02:27 pm (UTC)(link)
It's their snooty little faces and their silly fluffiness. Or something. Anyway, thumbs up!

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 02:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Come on; you know that cat's ugly and mean. I gave her some kitty treats afterwards to ease the humiliation of being shoved as well.

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Your icon rocks. :D

See, it's great when they fall. They try to pretend they meant to do that, with wounded dignity, even as you're laughing and pointing at them.

That said, it wasn't funny when Chud fell off the roof and broke her hip. Idiot cat.

[identity profile] rebness.livejournal.com 2005-09-21 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Muhahahaha. The worst thing is that if my dog fell even a few inches, I'd be all, "you poor thing!" and cuddle it. Even if it is a big hulking alsatian. That's what cats get for being evil next compared to dogs. :p
