Please to be recommending 80s films. I've rediscovered my love for them over a computerless weekend (and there's a sale on at the local DVD shop) but The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller will only get a girl so far. The trashiest, sharpest ones will get priority spandex.

How on earth did I forget that? I used to be obsessed with the soundtrack. In fact, that might require a downloading...

John Hughes is the greatest, in that funky 80s way. I'm out of pink spandex, but I can offer you blue and red zig-zag spandex?

I'm hoping that's blue *OR* red zig-zag and not together :p

I just thought of more: Legend, The Dark Crystal, and Splash!. Though any of them could be really early 90's. Am too lazy to look them up >:)

EAT MY SHORTS!

I didn't realise how much that film has influenced aspects of The Simpsons and Futurama. All hail that fount of knowledge, Wikipedia.

The Goonies rocks. Hey, did you ever read The Outsiders? It made me cry, and then I became jealous when I realised how old the girl was when she wrote that story. Damned overachiever.

'Gotcha' ~ 'Nerd,'(Anthony Edwards with hair), travels Europe with cool friend, meets girl, and gets mixed up with spies.

'Revenge of the Nerds' ~ Anthony Edwards, again with hair, and nerdy friends, erm, have their revenge on those who torment them.

'Children of the Corn' ~ Cheesy horror with the 'Terminator's' Linda Hamilton.

'Ladyhawke' ~ Fantasy, adventure, romance, and a bit of humour starring Rutger Hauer, Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Broderick. It would be a really good film if it weren't for the very dated, distracting, and annoying out of place with the film's setting, '80's synth music.

'The Princess Bride' ~ One of the best films ever. Watch out for the R.O.U.S's!

'Suburbia' ~ Best enjoyed while under the influence http://videodetective.com/home.asp?PublishedID=55410
