How a Catholic Shouldn't Spend Easter

Ahahahaa. Well, my intention of relaxing/meditating/writing over ze Bank Holiday weekend has gone to pot. I know Yurp is pretty secular these days, but I missed the usual glut of Jesus films on Good Friday. The only way to combat that was to head off to the TJ Hughes summer sale with my sister-in-law and mother. I picked up a funky pair of Slazenger sunglasses and some Versace and Elizabeth Arden make-up, all for under a tenner. Popped into the Turkish general store afterwards and stocked up on all that funky Mediterranean food I love.
How to spend the rest of the holy day? Probably not at the pub and then the casino, but these things just happen. Lost just about all my money, then recouped it, somehow managing not to be sick at the sight of the man who kept losing and returning to the cash desk to withdraw £200 at a time. Bleurgh. I did manage to keep up with the no-red-meat, just fish thing, though, in the form of battered fish and chips en route.
Today, I pottered along to the shops to help Mary get some barbeque thingymalings, managing to buy two pairs of trainers and two extra-sexah pairs of sandals in the process. Oh, and a purse. And wine. There is an upside to this rapacious capitalism, though: I have more accesories than possible for Rome and the ensuing summer, and also I won't be spending any more over Easter. If only because I'm just about out of cash.
In other news, the Who!clock tells me that there are 3 hours and 14 minutes until the British premiere of Doctor Who's second season. I dunt know; if life were full of daleks and doctors who look like David Tennant, perhaps a girl wouldn't have to plug the void with shoes and make-up.

Trainers, sandals and wine? Oh that sounds like a very good shopping trip to me. I had a very pleasant time in the French market today looking at
the sexeh French menall the wonderful cheeses, baguettes and crepes. :Dno subject
