Mad Dogs and Englishmen

I haven't slept properly in four nights now. This isn't unusual for me, night owl-cum-insomniac that I am, but the stifling heat and the fact that the sun seems to rise at about 3am is really doing my nut in. Have been living off Red Bull and ten-minute naps in the loo at work. Tomorrow is the kick-off for the World Cup, and OMGZ. I won't get out of work on time, but I'm looking forward to the family party when I get home. Hurrah.
Everyone in work is glowing all red and, for those of us with a more Mediterranean backdrop, a gorgeous brown. We're all competing to see who can do the most extensive damage to their skin in the few days which mark summer this week. For the record, I'm a golden-red colour, and loving every mad English bit of it. I dunt want to work tomorrow, what with the searing heat and the World Cup and the whole Friday aspect of it all. Maybe I'll just hide out in the Stroke Unit and pray for 4.30pm. >:
