So, hey! I take a sabbatical and meanwhile England ushers autumn in. How very dare it!



Chris and I went a-wanderin' in Formby and Southport today. I saw live red squirrels for the first time, which rocked. The fresh, crisp autumn air and the golden leaves were just as good.

This makes me feel like we're in a Michel Gondry film.



Onto Southport. Hijinks ensue! Or... not. Damn. All that walking necessitated water instead of a well-deserved beer.



There's always something so compellingly destitute about British seaside resorts.

Also, I have a chest infection that has outstayed its welcome.

aww what lovely photos I am almost appreciating the beauty of Autumn. nah! bring back summer :-( i dont care about red squirrels, nuts and beautiful low autumn sun going down on the backdrop of lovely Formby beach...i want summer back.

I can handle autumn as long as the leaves are on the trees. Once they're gone, I'll be even more angry and bitter and wine-guzzling than Bernard Black.
