 I'm really annoyed with Play.com. I ordered some CDs from them for my dad's birthday. I placed the order on the 29th of November, anticipating that with the two items being listed as in stock and "usally dispatched within 24 hours" that they would be there in time for his birthday on the 5th. 

For four days, it simply said "Order placed."

Then it switched to "Packing" on Monday. 

Packing lasted an entire day. 

My dad's birthday came and went. For his birthday present, I was able to tell him that they were now "processing payment." 

Today, they are still processing payment. 

WHUT. I realise fully that Christmas is coming up, but this is ridiculous! Don't assure me on your awesome delivery times and then screw me around like this. I'm using Amazon in future - they may be more expensive, but at least they don't mess me about like this. >:

In other news, Amy-Bear had tests done yesterday. I haven't called my parents today, so shall tonight to see if there's any news. I don't expect the results, of course, but I just want to hear what the vet has to say.

I've heard a few people complain about play.com lately. I've never had problems now I'm all worried.
Last thing I ordered I did though amazon *crosses fingers*

play.com are normall quick for me, where amazon take forever on their 'free' super delivery.

i had to wait 1hr 20 mins to pick up 2 parcels from the post office last night! talk about not hiring any extra staff to cover busy christmas peroid! tight arses. they probably complain there is not enough cheap labour to hire. :-<

I hate to tell you this, but another team at teh boyfriend's call centre (you've heard us talk of its non-fabbiness) now handles Play.com's customer service.

(See how careful I'm being not to mention that fact and his name or username together? Oh yeah, I'm justifiably paranoid...)

Yeah play is slow lately. My brother made an order on Monday and just today it shipped. I mean, I know play are always a little slower(boo! second class delivery!) but this is ridiculous. :S
