So I put in leave for the 23rd, right? Because I wanted sleep and the opportunity not to be crushed to death in the shops, right?

Oh, Becky, thou foolish dreamer! For three days and nights the wind outside my house was gale-force. This meant plant pots being knocked over, the gate having to be shut every five minutes... now I know why those winds in the south of France are famous for driving people insane. It was great, in a Gothic ooh-Ralph-Fiennes-as-Heathcliff way, but a pain in the proverbial when you're unable to sleep and are due into work at half past eight. Bleh!

Anyway, apart from that, had a nice day off. On Wednesday, I went out with Chris (who now has a shiny silver car!!1!), Paul and Mary to some funky Lebanese restaurant. En-route, I picked up the entire season three of Futurama on DVD for £20. Bargain! Nice meal, stuff, etc.

Mary has it in for Jennifer Ellison of Brookside and Phantom of the Opera infamy, so of course we saw her and of course Mary wanted to deck her. Dutifully informed her that decking people was all wrong, like, and even rubbish celebrities don't deserve a punching. Well, unless they're Steve Brookstein.

Yesterday, nothing much happened. Watched about ten episodes of Futurama and nearly had an asthma attack through laughing so hard. Jack tried to eat the cat; the gales continued; burned my mouth with chillies. Ho hum.
