(no subject)

Bloody hell! Praise the internets, etc! Finally, I have my computer back. The initial crash that lost everything got sorted, but when my computer was returned last week, the modem decided to pack in. I had to pay a lovely journalist guy to look at it, and he fixed the problem. Came home, the mouse and keyboard wouldn't register. Sorted that, had the computer start dialing... no call signal. My extension wire has packed up.

The fecking computer is now downstairs until I can sort out another extension wire, but, if nothing else, I can now catch up on all that verboten surfing the NHS helpfully blocks each day. Unfortunately, I can't look at midget porn and tire of having to explain to family members about each post on carryondancing, but *eh.* To every cloud...

Anyway! In other news, lots of stuff has happened lately, all really Pretty Damned Good. The sun was shining brilliantly in England on Saturday, so I went out and did a bit of sunbathing. Got a lovely postcard from New Orleans, from the excellent gairid. Remembered that sun does not necessarily offer a break from the evil March winds, but was placated by Chris' offer to take me to "a special place." No, not that place, you filthy buggers.

Special Place turned out to be Delamere Forest. Special thing turned out to be a hike, but this was okay, because I now like exercise. Walked there for an hour or so, talking about holiday goodness, life, the universe and everything. Good stuff.

Then we went into Liverpool and braved the evil traffic. Ireland were playing, so the bars were packed out. A trip to Borders yielded booky goodness and... you know what? I don't remember much after that. We came back to the house and danced to Zorba's Dance and just hung out and so on. Had wine; the day passed in a pleasant haze of golden sunlight and romanticising life.

Sunday sucked in comparison, but that's to be expected.
