What I find most interesting is that the days of the week in each language are named after gods and goddesses who appear to correspond across the languages. Like how Thor, as the Norse/English sky god is more or less the equivalent of Jupiter, and they share the same day of the week. I don't know how much of an argument can be made for each culture being influenced by another, but the convergence is striking.
