84. I don't write slash because I don't think I would be much good at it.

Slash doesn't just mean sex, you know. What you write is still slash. :) < /quibble >

Dammit... when I get past a kiss or whatever, then I shall call it slash. Okay, okay, it was a lazy term... but you know what I mean. ;-)

I do know what you mean. :D Just sayin' is all. And I love your fics, even if there is no sex (though think of how great they could be if there were! :D :D :D :D).

Heehee!

Ah, but as long as I have *your* fics and such around, I have something to fill that gap... :-D

Seriously, I do envy how some of you write the *more* slashy ones so well. I just don't think I'm very good at it. That, or Too British. I dunno. :p

It's funny, cause I remember being so nervous when I first started writing sex scenes, and now that's practically all I write and I don't bat an eye. :p

Freakish...

Well, we're not completely the same person, that's a good thing right...?

Did find myself agreeing with some of the ones you'd changed though, like-

95. I still feel as overwhelmed by the world as I did as a child... I've just improved at hiding it.

and as for the not writing slash thing, I agree with [livejournal.com profile] kyuutketsukirui that it's still slash even without sex, but I have to admit the whole writing actual sex scenes still scares me...

I tend to wimp out and hint at things without using...anatomical details (cough).

That's why I love doing VC, you and just bang on about blood and save your blushes :)

Would love to see you attempt to write a sex scene, but so much of your stuff is already enthused with a whole subtle eroticism that it's not actually necessary...

...but would still be appreciated :)

83. I hate americanisations of words.
Do you mean noun changes - like lift to elevator, flat to apartment - or slang terms? I do hate how utterly casual English is in America, but since I grew up here British English is sometimes like a foreign language.

I suppose I don't really mind noun changes... it's stuff like being told I'm silly for writing "colour", and then getting into the old we invented the language/no, we improved it argument.

What annoys me most of all, though, is English people having to adopt American spellings, from gaol/jail to increasing amounts of spelling centre "center" to doctors where I work being told to change the centuries-old spelling of foetus to fetus. Bleh.

I'm all for change... just... I'd like Britain to retain its own language. And stuff. ;-)
