Well, cooking Christmas dinner was a nightmare. It was very tasty and there was plenty of food and all that, but making sure that there was plenty of food and that it was tasty nearly drove me and Mary to a heart attack.

It's been a really pleasant day other than that, with some nice presents and the general OMG YAY family atmosphere. By Boxing day, I'll be wanting to be alone high on a mountain somewhere, but for now... it's just nice, you know? Hee.

In other news, that completely unfunny, stupid, contrived Catherine Tate completely ruined Doctor Who, though we did get a glimpse of the Doctor's sexah new assistant. Yay!

i didn' mind her nearly as much as I thought I would do. I kept waiting for her to go 'Am I bovvered' even though I knew it wouldn't happen. And sure, she overacts in a squicky way, but i did imagine it was going to be unwatchable, which it wasn't.

I thought it was completely unwatchable. She just screamed and repeated everything again and again. And I had to keep fighting my brother not to turn over to Deal or No Deal instead. That woman just rubs me up the wrong way. Ugh!

I only switched on at 7.30-ish so I did miss a bit, perhaps it helped her repetition seem less annoying.

I suppose it doesn't help that I already can't stand her stupid face, but... she just seemed to repeat each line ad nauseum, to the point that my dad stormed in and was all, "If she screeches 'it's my wedding ONE MORE TIME...!" Heehee. The Doctor rocked, as always, though. ;)

It sucks that you and Mary had to do all the cooking. Here there were like 5000 contributors, so it worked out pretty well. Although I got kind of annoyed with "O HAY, Anna can make a dessert" two days before Christmas, when I hadn't planned anything and didn't have recipes or anything. *eyeroll* Magic does not happen overnight! Anyway, well done you, I hope your dinner was sexy.
