No Rest for the Slacker

God's sake! Just been informed that we have to work on New Year's Eve. Because, of course, the patients won't be able to cope without results put on the system or letters sent out, except for the part where it won't make the slightest damned difference if I'm in on New Year's Eve.

Bah!

On the plus side-- it will also be half day, and actually get my lazy arse into Liverpool for much drinkiness and celebrations, rather than having a lie-in till gone 5pm. This means that not only will I be meeting demented earthlydelight, the scourge of the Lake District, for festival drunkeness, but also that I will feel morally superior for not slacking. Ha!

Every work day has an alcoholic lining.

Not that I'm one to rub it in or anything, but we'll run out of work tomorrow. So not only do I get to stay off while 5th January, I'll be sat there getting paid for doing nothing on Monday and Tuesday! Might have to try and sneak on internet, at least that's one perk of your job.

That's why I sang "I Miss You" so beautifully! My darling friends cancelled the thing ages ago and forgot to mention it me. No huzzahness...

And still no huzzah for Jan 30th-I can't get a holiday for that Friday because agency get them taken off them at New Year. Hmm-shall try to get up for a Saturday with Nummy though?

Also Michelle won Pop Idol. the Andrex puppy just died and there is no Santa..
