Speaking of Lord of the Rings, I was in an MSN conversation a while back with [livejournal.com profile] nyalko80 and [livejournal.com profile] therealycats casually talking about various films.

A confession: I've never read the Lord of the Rings books.

*Shock! Horror!*

I just couldn't get into them. I tried, seriously, I did, but the prose style? Not for me. I mean, I recognise that they're very well-written, they have great attention to detail-- but I put the first book down halfway through, and never picked it up again, which is rare for me.

Anyhoo, I did love and appreciate the films. I loved Jackson's dark take on them, and was determined that, no matter what, I would see all of them and Avoid Spoilers at All Costs.

That was until my two friends said something like "oh boy, I can't wait for the third instalment, and to see how they do the bit where [Insert spoiler about Gollum's fate here].

Becky: AIEEEEE! No! You didn't just reveal to me the ending which I had up to this point known absolutely nothing about!

[livejournal.com profile] nyalko80 Um... you haven't read it?

Becky: NO! =:-o

[livejournal.com profile] therealycats Oh.

[livejournal.com profile] nyalko80 Erm...er...well, maybe we knew that, and we were making it up! You don't know for sure if that happens to Gollum.

Becky: *Cries* It so does! You're lying-- I can see it in your smiley's eyes.

Cute RotK. That bit with Gollum happens. Wow, I think, okay, so the second part of it happened, but at least he didn't do that chomping thing. Ha! In your face, spoiler gits.

And then it did happen. Pah!

*crushes their heads a la Lenny*

Ok.

I'm too tired to do the exclamation point thing right now. And I just ate all my pork.

I'm chugging Hazelnut coffee... and my hands are all shaking because of it, but bah! I can't not drink my coffee.

I don't like coffee...far too bitter. I could make some hot chocolate, but alas I have no mix. I do have syrup, but in that case I have no milk. Damnit.

Hazelnut's very sweet! That's part of my addiction to it... that and this mocha stuff and irish cream they have up at the store in town. Very good stuff.

I found Raisinettes! I could make some popcorn, but I need to skim over some books in a few minutes and then head to class in another 90. Plus I just finished some pork and mashed potatoes. I wish I didn't eat all my bread.

I made bbq in my crock pot yesterday, so I should probably eat some of that, but I'm just too coffee'd up to actually eat something.

Screw it. I'm popping popcorn now. I'll just work out a long time tonight.

The Orville Reddenbacher (whatever) brand has a reduced fat popcorn that's unbelievably good. I like it better than the other stuff.

I'm eating the extra buttery stuff. With the Raisinettes, of course.

I love Raisinettes. Those damned things are addictive as all hell. Sour Patch Kids, too!

They're... er... sour. And really good, especially the red ones.

Yes, I figured they were sour. I don't usually like red candy.

Red's almost always the best! lol

Raisinettes rule over everything else, though. No contest.

OMG, I had to build this website for a candy fundraising company... ... and everytime I'd go there I'd see the Reese's and drool. I swear I gained weight just by doing that site.

Reese's are almost worth it. Almost.

Which reminds me, what about Heath Bars. Now those biyatches are good. They're worth gaining weight.
