rebness

I know that this is the second post in as many days about work, but today's curry-and-cava lunch was somewhat ruined by the churning in my stomach as the hour of my appraisal rolled up. Thanks to my asshat last boss, I've been terrified of the things for the last couple of years. I didn't even listen to any songs on my ipod before I went in to the meeting room, in case I forever associated something like The Show Must go On with being told I was rubbish and out the door.

Instead, I tried in vain to concentrate as Tears for Fears went round and round my head. The good news is I've done pretty freakin' well (when not on my ipod or fighting with certain people on MSN *coughwenchcough*). The bad news is, no pay rise yet -- but I've been here three months, so ha. However, there are projects I may be able to take on in this fiscal year. I just really like my boss. He's fair, clear and invested in my future. He's also French. >:D

Anyway, I promised myself I would listen to Head Over Heels s if it went well. So I did. And now I'm bopping at my desk, because yay now it's over, it's Christmas soon and weren't the 80s rad?
