In my defence, these are only places I've stopped off at.

Also, a lot of Britain just doesn't impress me/I hate/am scared of. So nyah. :p

That's it - you have to say the Sheffield story! - I spent the first eighteen years of my life in Sheffield. Do you pity me yet? Or do I scare you ;)

The story is just depressing. I went from bloody Lyon to Sheffield by coach, once. (Sheffield was the closest city I could get to home), and the journey in itself was hell.

But, more than that, I reheaheally wanted to get home. But no! I got stuck in this bloody horrible street, lugging a suitcase behind me. It started to rain, but no cabs would stop because the road was too busy. I got a bus to the city centre, and it cost me something ridiculous for a few stops.

I then had to wait in the Ugliest Bus Depot Ever for a National Express coach to take me back to the west of England, but the wait? Was two hours. I was starving, so walked up to this really horrible chip shop and bought some chips there. They were nasty. It rained some more. The bus was late. I was used to the warm weather in France, so I was all shivering and stuff. I spent three hours waiting for a bus in that horrible station, with scary gangs of teenagers hanging around and just... I can't explain it. It was depressing. I'll never, ever go back there.

And I really pity you for having lived there, seriously. But hey... at least you live somewhere nicer now. ;)

:( I find where i live really scary and th rest of the country even more intimidating. I can't stand Newcastle because of all the "Are ya alrit man, gonna ga down t'the chippy and smash some cars up aiiiiiie man." And dear god no offense to any none threatening people who live there but the teenagers are like satans minions on prozac and given a pitch fork and a torch to weild. Unfortunately I have to go back their in October :( I want to live in Scotland but shall take that story over to my journal so no.. more spamming of yours, Geoff man. (*Crosses fingers* please say you listen to radio 1; Chris Moyles) :p

Oh, London was pretty scary too. All that "No walking on the grass. No knocking on the Prime Ministers door" really had me edgy. Plus child hood trauma of said city :(

Finished now i promise!
