So I 'phoned up the NHS lady today and asked her what on earth was going on. She told me that they have been told they can start me without a Criminal Records check (naughty) but that I have to go for an interview with Occupational Health (to check I don't have TB and stuff) and go on one of those soul-destroying two-day "inductions." This could take up to two weeks. [/headdesk]

Meanwhile, I have played ten games of Su-Doku, which I am obsessed with lately, and watching all those DVDs I have bought in the past few months but not had the time to watch.

Is it worrying that my happiest part of the day was reading that Billie Piper isn't quitting Doctor Who? I know it's nerdy, but this is Life Without Work. Ho hum.
