Today, I have seen adverts for a Johnny Cash compilation album and a Savage Garden compilation album. One of my friends at university, Nia, told me that I was an advertiser's dream, and I think I'm proving her right again, dammit. Never mind the panicked rush of buying a gazillion gifts for friends and family that has recently gripped me... I have a feeling that £20 of my paycheque on Wednesday is going towards selfish me, me, me presents. Ahahaha.

Also, just watched Notting Hill. Nearly choked on schmaltz. I am far too cynical too exist in the same world as cheesemeister Richard Curtis.

I used to like Richard Curtis. Now I'm all, "Why are your women always in subordinate positions to men?" and "Hugh Grant really isn't that great, you know, why do you love him so much?" and "Cast Colin Firth in more movies."

Dunt buy Savage Garden. I think it should be a rule that bands who broke up cannot attempt to cash in with a greatest hits from a total of TWO albums, many years after breaking up.

Heck, and I thought they'd already had a greatest hits album... if they've only had two records, surely they might as well call a spade a spade and instead put out: "Savage Garden: The Singles, With All The Other Stuff Cut Out".

You'd be right in Middle English. Just when they stop using that pesky thorn it gets harder to distinguish between "the" the definite article and "the" the second person pronoun. :( /geekiness.
