Oh, yaay. Shiny new broadband that finally works has set me free from my film!mire and allowed me to download stuff whilst also being free to peruse the television without worrying that my computer will explode with the strain of transferring an .mp3 file.
THE WEEKEND PLAYLIST
Stars in Their Eyes Kids
Well... uh. I had to start somewhere.
Howl's Moving Castle
In Japanese. Nay!
With English subtitles. Yay!
With Japanese subtitles over the English subtitles. Nay!
Pretty animation. Yay!
Mysterious Cities of Gold: episodes 1-5
My first feat via BitLord. Oh, cartoon of my childhood, how I adored thee! Okay, the animation looks a little rubbishy now, but it's just the best thing ever. It preached tolerance and environmentalism long before that usurper Captain Planet, and it taught me stuff this weekend! Like, the Pacific ocean is deeper than the Atlantic towards South America and it creates straits. And stuff. You don't learn that stuff in today's cartoons. Also, there was homoeroticism in a certain episode, but more on that later. A+
The Grudge
Creepy stuff. Wild-eyed children, people walking nearer and nearer via CCTV. Old curse. Oh, look. It's The Ring. Actually, although it bore a good deal of similarity to the other film, I still enjoyed it as horror films go.
The Substitute 2: School's Out
Featuring Treat Williams twatting unruly teenagers all over the place. Just brilliant.
Dispatches: Ryanair
Apparently, super-cheap budget airline Ryanair doesn't give a damn about its passengers. Well, I for one am shocked and horrified.
