Your leg, it is mine.

Am I missing something here? It's a body part. How can anyone claim they own a part of someone else? WTF!

"He wants his leg back but Mr Whisnant says he has a receipt for the smoker's contents and wants to share ownership."

Seriously, if the other guy wins the legal battle, I hope he gets his hand chopped off and has it sold to a travelling freakshow.

We have a local radio presenter (national, too, since he does a 5 Live slot) who pounces on anyone who speaks with a "polite" (that's Norn Iron for "educated-sounding" or "posh") accent. Makes me not want to phone his show about certain subjects, since I know the reaction I'd get.

I know speaking a certain way doesn't guarantee education, intelligence or common sense (nor do I have problems with people whose accents are different from mine). But hating on people for speaking like that seems to me to be part of the same thing: an assumption that if you're verbally precise, use grammar and/or have a good vocabulary, then you're lording it above everyone else.
