So they've killed the second hostage. That poor man and the terror he must have felt.
The Liverpudlian is next. Tony Blair pontificates about refusing to bow to terror whilst in Liverpool today they held a candelit vigil and his eldery mother wept and pleaded for his life to be spared.
It's likely a matter of time before the third hostage is killed. Then there will be the usual rhetoric, the "strengthening" of resolve against the terrorists. Perhaps there will be more pain visited upon the poor people of Iraq.
This conflict is the most disgusting and depressing of things. And now fucking Dubya is on television speaking in slow, haughty tones about prevailing over terrorism, using the UN for election spin, the two dead American men nothing more than fodder for his spin. Words fail me.
Its disgusting
Date: 2004-09-22 06:07 am (UTC)This war is sickening. And Bush is totally using the war as his re-election platform. He's exploiting 9/11, and it doesn't sit well with me at all. He has actually said the world is a safer place since he came into office and that he's the only person qualified to be President at this point in time.
I think if anything his being in office does nothing but give terrorists more reason to continue murdering innocent people.
I can honestly say that I am ashamed of this country right now. I'm embarrassed to be represented by such a mindless puppet.
I am a liberal Democrat, and I will say that I do not like John Kerry either. I've never seen someone change their stance on so many issues as he does. And his wife, Teresa, is the most disagreeable, hateful Nazi-wannabe I've ever seen!
For the first time since I have been able to vote, I honestly feel I'm voting for the lesser of two evils. I will certainly vote Democrat, but my vote will not be to put John Kerry into office. It will be to remove George Bush from his position.
