My friend sc1ssors1ster writes Savage Garden slash. It's great, but I have this affliction-- when I read it out to someone else, I start laughing. Thankfully, she understands that this is because I keep imagining my sweet, unassuming friend writing it and it tickles me, not because I'm mocking the story.
Warning: I laugh like a hyena on this one.
Extra special thanks to the ever-loveleh sc1ssors1ster, cool wench du jour.
Am very quietly-spoken in real life, because I think I'm more introspective than one who talks much. (Don't read shyness into this. I just believe in empty vessels, and all that.)
I noticed I had a lisp on that, too. Dude, my voice so reminded me of someone, but I don't know whom. Ach, well.
I felt very stupid saying it into the 'phone. My brother was in the next room whilst I talked of Darren Hayes headbutting people and getting all kinds of stuff over him.
Yaay! French! Except I mispronounced one word in my haste. Oh, well.
Tsh! Kelly understands it's not mocking. Oh, dear. A horse's head is on my doorstep...
I can be quietly spoken and I mumble a bit, which is very bad and I need to work on that as, like my mother says, I haven't been going to speech and drama since I was 7 to slur my speech. :( Did your voice, perhaps, remind you of your own? :P One always sounds different when recorded than one remembers.
I shall listen for mispronounciation but probably won't pick up on it. And it won't be as bad as my "gesture" gaffe.
No, I was watching some programme or film or something recently, and someone had that quietly-spoken lispy voice. Who the hell was it? This shall drive me crazy.
My cousin told me I have a habit of starting to talk to him, then trailing off as I get lost in some dreamworld or something! LOL! My cousin's stoopid, though.
Completely sympathise with "gesture." Made that gaffe several times myself.
